1. Ludhiana City Centre

Construction of a peripheral ring road, widening of internal city roads, flyovers and a rail or road-based rapid transport system are part of the plan.
3. Inter-City Connectivity
A six-lane expressway to Chandigarh, a four-lane expressway linking Ludhiana-Moga-Ferozepur and a direct rail link to Chandigarh have been cleared.
LAND USE BY 2021
With a projected population of 33 lakh by 2021, the city is expected to grow to an area of 76,000 acres. Half of this will comprise residential area; industrial area will also go up from 18% now to 30% by 2021.
