Some projects underway that could influence real estate prices in future.
1. City Infrastructure
Vision 2021, prepared by the state government, envisages a metropolitan city with satellite towns, high-rise buildings, expressways and wetlands. Detailed project report to be sent to the central government by June 2008 for fund allocations.
2. Airport
Expansion of the existing runway and an air cargo complex for handling and storage of perishable goods and general cargo will help create a commercial hub in the city.
3. Water Supply
Two water treatment plants to be constructed near New Rail Road bridge; drinking water pipes to be re-laid; storage reservoirs to be developed.
4. Industrial Zones
The new Master Plan lays stress on development of industrial growth zones and small economic zones.An industrial park for export oriented units and a food park to come up at Hajipur near Patna and an IT Park in the city.
