Keeping an eye on institutional investors is a good idea as these funds are managed by professionals with in-depth knowledge of the markets. We have done articles on gold, especially gold exchange traded funds. Watch out for more stories on precious metals.

Your analysis of the choppy stock market was very thorough (Riding the Swing, 21 February). Investors ought to be aware of the investing patterns of FIIs, mutual funds and other institutional investors before making their decisions. Like the stock markets, gold prices have also been swinging wildly in the past month. Please consider doing more stories on the bullion market.

I am a Money Today subscriber and like your magazine a lot. However, I wish to point outsome shortcomings. The magazine does not have enough stories on consumer interests. Instead of regularly carrying portfolio analysis of a family, you should focus more on areas such as consumer rights. Secondly, some articles, especially those on stock markets ought to be written in a more simplified language. Also, several issues of the magazine are not delivered to me on time.

We thank you for the feedback. We have started a section on consumer rights that should especially interest you. Also, sections such as Smart Travel and Smart Spending deal with issues that affect consumers directly. We will soon be devoting more pages to such consumer-related stories.

It has always been our endeavour to simplify articles, especially those on equities which is the most complicated investment class. The two-page MT Basics is focused on educating readers about concepts and jargon that are unavoidable in a personal finance magazine. Your subscription complaint has been forwarded to the concerned department. The problem should be solved quickly.
