Bag it or junk it: Great sound, just a bit low on volume
The Momentum earphones from Sennheiser are great, but they are large and expensive. Enter the new Sennheiser Momentum on-ear headphone, a smaller, compact and stylish predecessor to the hugely successful first version.
The design is very similar to the earlier Momentum, the supra-aural ear cups sit on your lobes instead of covering them completely. They are thicker and softer than any other we have tested and this means even after longs hours they don't tire you or your ears.
Unlike most other on-ear models, the Momentum has high-end closed dynamic transducers that give an amazing sense of details to your songs. So when you hear Aao Balma from Coke Studio Season 3 with audio ranges as wide as Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan's matured vocals to Sivamani's fluid hands on percussion instruments, you don't miss a beat. You will, however, need to go to full volume on your source as we felt that the volume level of this Momentum was a bit low. The Momentum comes with an iRemote that hangs near your neck and acts like a hands-free if you want to take calls while listening to music on your phone.
