The advent of tablets gave way to Bluetooth keyboards that could be used with touch smartphones too. But the ones for the tablets were way too big to carry. Amkette has come up with a compact keyboard that offers inbuilt stand to place a phone.
Straight out of the box, I was impressed by the sheer looks. It was compact, light weight that made it easy to carry. The inbuilt stand made was comfortably able to hold the iPhone while typing. But the major problem with the keyboard is the placement of keys. Certain keys need to be pressed twice for them to work, and on a few occasions, even a single press would enter the alphabet twice. That's not the end of it - the key spacing is a hug issue. I understand that the whole idea is portability but a trade off with functionality renders the device almost useless and added weight as the functionality and uses are any which ways limited in the first place. But after using it for a few days, I got a hang of the keys. However, carrying this device to just type your emails faster, or work on documents is a little cumbersome as you will have to revisit the documents.
The keyboard has got short keys for Play/Pause, Next, Previous and Volume Up and Down. It is accompanied with a carrying case too.
Bag it or junk it: A good smartphone but it heats and is overpriced.
