Review: LG G Flex offers a lot but is too expensive at Rs 69,990

LG G Flex, the phone with curve, may offer everything but is too expensive at Rs 69,990.

LG G Flex
Rs 69,990
Rating: 4.5/5

Specs: 6 inch display; 13 MP camera; Android v4.2.2; 2 GB RAM; 32 GB internal storage; 2.26 GHz quad core processor; Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi; 3500 mAh battery

The G Flex is a big phone. It comes with a 6 inch display. When compared to the other 6 inch devices like the Nokia Lumia 1520, it feels slightly small. However, I had a tough time holding it.

LG claims that the slight curved display is the most comfortable fit for most of the human faces. And while taking calls, the experience of holding this device next to the face was pleasant. The curve brings the microphone closer to the mouth and even the speaker gets a volume boost.

But this curved display had its shortcomings too. Carrying it in a jeans pocket is rather uncomfortable. To achieve the curve design, LG has added curve to the battery and other components too.

There aren't any controls on the edges of the G Flex. The power control and the volume controls are placed at the back, just below the 13 MP camera and the LED flash.

The 13MP camera has got the same module as on the G2 with a few additions including optical image stabilization. The phone is powered by a 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM. There isn't even a single second lag while operating this phone with multiple apps running in the background. It comes with a curved 3500 mAh battery, which lasted me a day and a half on a single charge.

BAG IT OR JUNK IT: For Rs 69,990, it way too expensive
