The new Seagate Wireless Plus looks like any other external hard drive from the company. It is small enough to fit inside your coat pocket if needed, though it needs a strip dock to connect to the USB cable.
The device creates a wi-fi network of its own to connect. While you can copy files to the device using the USB, to access the content from an iOS or Android device you will need to download the Seagate Media app.
Once the app is downloaded just link your phone or tablet to the Seagate Wi-Fi and you are ready to go. The app has different folders for the files on the 1TB hard drive and you can play them directly on mobile without any buffering. We tried linking up to three devices and faced no issues.
BAG IT OR JUNK IT?
Use this as a file dump which you can access from all devices within a 30-metre range. Really, this is the future.
