Of late, bikes have been firing up Indian streets with enthusiasts looking for more powerful and flashy wheels. But, a few minutes of throttle blipping with some of the yesteryear bikes can re-ignite unmatched passion in a biker. Here's a look at some good old beauties:

Bajaj Boxer 100
Bajaj Boxer was never meant to be launched in India. It was primarily sold in African markets. After its successful run in Africa, Bajaj launched the Boxer 150 in the Indian market.

Suzuki Shogun

Its performance was comparable to current generation 135 cc bikes while its low weight of just 114 kg made it even comparable to 150 cc motorcycles of present time.

Yamaha RX 100
The Yamaha RX 100 was a motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha from 1985 to 1996 and distributed in India.  The bikes, manufactured between 1985 and 1987, had knock-down kits from Japan and were assembled in India. Only the model produced in Japan had disc brakes. The bike's production lasted from November 1985 - March 1996. Stricter emission laws and regulations in India made the continuing production of the RX100 impossible.

Suzuki AX 100
Suzuki AX 100 was a two-stroke, 100 cc motorcycle from Suzuki. It was made both in Japan, India and China. The Suzuki Samurai was a similar motorcycle made by Suzuki India for the Indian market. Various Chinese companies like Baccio, Jiancheng, Guerrero, Ayuco or Akt copied the design and produced mechanical copies under various names such as Dayun.

Yezdi Roadking
The Yezdi Roadking was produced in India by Ideal Jawa Ltd, Mysore, from 1978 to 1996. The Yezdi Roadking was the successor of the short-lived Yezdi Oilking and was based on the CZ 250 motocross ridden by Jaroslav Falta to the runner-up spot in the 1974 motocross world championship. The bike won several Indian rallies and road races. The bike had a 250 cc engine with dual exhausts and a semi-automatic clutch and Jawa/CZ's trademark integrated gear shifter/kick-starter.
