Bajaj has launched the Pulsar N250SS at ₹1,59,406, ex-showroom Delhi. The new version sits above the standard N250, with a reported premium of about ₹14,000. Registration, insurance and other applicable charges affect the final on-road amount.

The 249cc single-cylinder engine now uses a four-valve head. Reported output is 25 PS and 22 Nm, compared with 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm for the standard model. The changes go beyond a new badge or colour scheme.

A six-speed gearbox replaces the standard motorcycle's five-speed transmission. This is a clear mechanical difference between the versions, although launch specifications alone do not establish real-world cruising refinement, fuel economy or acceleration.

The equipment list adds a Sports Shifter, described in launch coverage as a quickshifter, alongside an electronic throttle body with ride modes. These changes expand the rider technology available on the N250SS compared with the standard motorcycle.

The instrument cluster changes to a five-inch TFT display with Google Maps mirroring. It replaces the LCD console on the standard bike, making the cockpit one of the most immediately visible differences when comparing the two versions.

Adjustable levers, a USB Type-C charging port, a hazard switch and Panic Brake Alert also feature in the update. Together with the engine and gearbox changes, these additions explain what buyers receive for the higher listed price.
