HAL-Safran Deal: New Engine, Avionics Push Boost India’s Defence Indigenisation Drive

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is strengthening India’s defence indigenisation push through major aerospace manufacturing partnerships. HAL and France’s Safran have signed a contract to jointly develop and manufacture the Aravali engine for future multi-role and naval helicopters.
