IndiGo has begun the process of returning thousands of passenger bags that piled up at Delhi Airport during the ongoing operational crisis. The airline has deployed teams to identify each unclaimed bag using its tag details. IndiGo has also hired a third-party logistics company to ensure that every bag is delivered directly to passengers’ homes. Staff members are contacting travellers individually, confirming addresses, and dispatching luggage for doorstep delivery. The airline says the clearing process is being carried out in phases as the volume of accumulated baggage is unusually high. As IndiGo struggles to stabilise operations, restoring passengers’ belongings has become its top priority.
