At the release of key NITI Aayog study reports, B V R Subrahmanyam described the documents as “living reports” guiding India’s transition toward Viksit Bharat 2047 and Net Zero 2070. He announced the launch of eight remaining reports, adding to three already in the public domain that outline macroeconomic impacts and financing needs. The newly released studies focus on power, industry, transport and critical minerals, highlighting that India’s net-zero pathway must be electrification-led, materials-intensive and system-wide. Developed through extensive inter-ministerial and industry consultations, the reports provide quantified pathways, flag key uncertainties and outline priority interventions to align long-term growth with climate leadership.
