Gaza is entering an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. The UN confirms over 60,000 Palestinians dead since the October 2023 war began, including 83 children dying from starvation. The war in Gaza began October 7, 2023, when thousands of terrorists led by the Hamas terror group invaded southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, of whom 50- 20 of whom are believed to be alive- are still held. The UN secretary general Antonio Guterres in a statement has urged countries to step in saying and I quote: “This is not a warning. It is a reality unfolding before our eyes and the trickle of aid must become an ocean.” With only 50% of aid reaching Gaza, Israel blames the UN, while aid groups blame severe Israeli restrictions. Global pressure is mounting as horrifying images emerge, forcing Israel to announce 10-hour humanitarian pauses each day.
