ISRO's Gaganyaan Mission: Vyommitra's Uncrewed Test Flight Set For December 2025

In a significant milestone for India's space exploration, ISRO is set to launch the first uncrewed mission of its Gaganyaan program in December 2025. This mission will feature Vyommitra, an AI-enabled half-humanoid robot designed to simulate human responses in space. Vyommitra will test and monitor crucial spacecraft systems such as life support, avionics, and environmental controls, ensuring the spacecraft's readiness for future crewed missions. ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan has confirmed that the Gaganyaan program is progressing well, with 85% of the research work completed. The remaining tasks are advancing as planned, marking significant progress for India’s ambitious human spaceflight mission.
