External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said India today reflects a strong national resolve shaped by history, experience and confidence. Speaking on how countries respond to pressure, he noted that nations differ in strength, exposure and resilience. Jaishankar said India has faced pressure and sanctions before, including during key strategic decisions, and learned to absorb costs while standing firm. He underlined that India is now a $4 trillion economy and among the world’s top five, giving it far greater capacity to hold its ground. He added that policy choices mirror the nation’s collective resolve and confidence.
