Responding to a question on H-1B visas, Randhir Jaiswal, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, said the Government of India has received multiple representations from Indian nationals facing delays and rescheduling issues in U.S. visa appointments. He acknowledged that visa matters fall under the sovereign domain of the United States, but said India has raised concerns with U.S. authorities in New Delhi and Washington. Jaiswal noted prolonged delays have caused hardships to families and children. He added that India remains actively engaged with the U.S. to minimize disruptions following expanded H-1B and H-4 review processes effective December 15.
