We would like to see boost in savings instruments to mobilise public saving. We also anticipate a roadmap for dilution of government stake in PSBs, subsequent direction for compliance with Basel III norms and regulatory reforms for dealing with stressed assets in the banking system. Also, reduction in arbitrariness in tax mechanism and an increase in service tax in line with GST will be very helpful.

I do not seek any exemption in corporate taxes from the government. The government must collect adequate money for spending on projects and schemes. While the government's intentions are good, things are yet to happen. We understand execution takes time. I would like to see the expenditure on infrastructure go up. There must be a focus on generating consumption demand.
