Domkal Assembly Election 2026

Polling for the DOMKAL Assembly seat will take place in the first phase on April 23, 2026.

Vote counting and the declaration of results for the DOMKAL Assembly seat, along with all constituencies of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, will be held on May 4, 2026.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021, the DOMKAL seat was won by AITC. The winning candidate, Jafikul Islam, secured 127671 votes. The runner-up was from CPM, whose candidate Md. Mostafijur Rahaman (Rana) received 80442 votes.

In the previous election in DOMKAL, Jafikul Islam secured victory as a candidate from AITC. They received a total of 127671 votes, accounting for a vote share of 56.4%.

In the 2021 election for the DOMKAL seat, AITC candidate Jafikul Islam won with 127671 votes. They defeated CPM candidate Md. Mostafijur Rahaman (Rana) by a margin of 47229 votes. Md. Mostafijur Rahaman (Rana) received 80442 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the DOMKAL seat, the runner-up was CPM candidate Md. Mostafijur Rahaman (Rana). They were defeated by AITC candidate Jafikul Islam. Md. Mostafijur Rahaman (Rana) secured a total of 80442 votes, losing by a margin of 47229 votes.

The West Bengal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) has a total of 294 seats. Public representatives are elected directly.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections held in 2021, AITC won the most number of seats. AITC won a total of 214 seats. The seat count for other parties was as follows: BJP (77), OTH (2)
