Saptagram Assembly Election 2026

Polling for the SAPTAGRAM Assembly seat will take place in the second phase on April 29, 2026.

Vote counting and the declaration of results for the SAPTAGRAM Assembly seat, along with all constituencies of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, will be held on May 4, 2026.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021, the SAPTAGRAM seat was won by AITC. The winning candidate, Tapan Dasgupta, secured 93328 votes. The runner-up was from BJP, whose candidate Debabrata Biswas received 83556 votes.

In the previous election in SAPTAGRAM, Tapan Dasgupta secured victory as a candidate from AITC. They received a total of 93328 votes, accounting for a vote share of 48.6%.

In the 2021 election for the SAPTAGRAM seat, AITC candidate Tapan Dasgupta won with 93328 votes. They defeated BJP candidate Debabrata Biswas by a margin of 9772 votes. Debabrata Biswas received 83556 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the SAPTAGRAM seat, the runner-up was BJP candidate Debabrata Biswas. They were defeated by AITC candidate Tapan Dasgupta. Debabrata Biswas secured a total of 83556 votes, losing by a margin of 9772 votes.

The West Bengal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) has a total of 294 seats. Public representatives are elected directly.
