Camera quality is improving across the board, not just in DSLRs or point-and-shoots. At a time when even regular smartphones have 8MP cameras, Logitech's top of the line webcam boasts a Full HD video recording and 15 MP photo quality. The Logitech C920 is a plug-and-play HD webcam. But remember with a hi-def webcam you will need a good broadband connection to get your images to the other side. With the c920 you will see the difference in video quality right away. The pictures are sharp and don't have the VGA feel that we are so used to with webcams.

The other standout feature is the autofocus, as the subject is always in focus within the frame. Even in low light the lag is insignificant, that must the Carl Zeiss lens at work. However, we were not too impressed with the 15MP photo capture as the pictures were saved in 640x480p resolution at a file size of around 60kb. We could not find anything in the settings to improve this. With video and audio, you have the option of improving quality.

VERDICT: Good video but the price tag can be a put off.
