Message Prevue BlackBerry OS This is a great application for BlackBerry users as it integrates with the phone's interface and shows a pop-up notification for the incoming emails. The notification that appears on the lower right of the display does carry details such as sender and the subject. This lets a user decide whether to switch between the applications or save for later reading. The free version only notifies for the email, while the paid version prompts for SMS as well as BBM.

The Windows Phone platform is relatively new and earlier not many apps were reported on the marketplace. But with a lot many new apps being added, looking out for all the updates can be a bit difficult. Hence, the WP7 app list comes across as a cool tool to browse through the updates and even learn about the free apps. Utilising the Windows UI, the first page says discovery and lists all recent changes, just released, app updates, deals and price drops, free and top rated apps. The next pages mentions spotlight, most popular, search and app reviews.

This is one cool free iPhone application for searching location to stay, almost anywhere in the world. The app shows a list from the collection that includes Top 40 places to stay, Unique New York, Life's A beach, Trees and Zzzs, Eyes on Asia, When in Rome, etc. Every category features plenty of options to choose from. Each option is listed with the image of the place along with the rent in INR for each night. One can fetch more details like description, amenities,view the location on the map and even contact the host or book the place straight away. But while booking, one has to create an Airbnb account or register through an existing facebook account. Other than the preloaded list, there is also an option to search for a particular place across the world. While we tried to search for accommodations in New Delhi, plenty properties appeared that we were unaware about. A must-have app for travel lovers.

Do you miss additional features on your iPhone camera screen? Install Awesome camera, which will let you play around with the settings and get exactly what you want. Usable for both still images and videos, the arrow icon below reveals a list of settings one can change. This includes image stabalisation, slow burst, fast burst, timer and even interval capture. Using two fingers on the touch screen one can also select the focus and expose points. From the drop down menu on the top there is an option to select the composition (horizontal, thirds, golden and trisec). Other option include 'enable automatic post processing' with various modes like goddess, flashbang, wonka, most of which are paid. This app also allows instant upload and sharing.
