2. February 2011 The Additional Solicitor General of India says the merger violates M&A norms, suggests action against Idea.

3. April 7, 2011 The Department of Telecom, or DoT, imposes a penalty of Rs 300 crore on Idea for holding dual licences.

4. April 25, 2011 DoT slaps a fine of Rs 27.65 crore on Idea and Spice for the delay in the rollout of services in five circles

5. July 6, 2011 Idea gets a breather with the telecom tribunal restraining the DoT from imposing the penalty
