Fund House Style
The equity funds of HDFC have been performing better since Prashant Jain came in after the fund house acquired the Zurich Mutual Fund in 2003. Jain prefers a concentrated approach, rather than a diffused strategy, in constructing a portfolio.
If you had invested Rs 10,000 on Jan 1, 2000 in the HDFC Top 200, it would be worth Rs 33,100 on Jan 13, 2009 (an absolute growth of 231%).
