The Karbonn Sparkle V has a simple and neat design. The 4.5-inch capacitive touch display sits at the front.

There aren't any physical touch keys as all the three - home, back and multitasking, has been moved to the bottom of the display itself.

The display brightness is decent. The power key and the volume buttons are placed on the right. The rear houses a camera module. The back panel is removable with two SIM slots and a memory card slot. The Sparkle V has the 1.3GHz quad-core processor, which is coupled with 1GB of RA M.

It came loaded with the default Google services, and I was able to download more apps after adding my Google account details. I also downloaded a few apps such as Facebook, Whatsapp and Zomato.

The web browsing experience was also decent. The phone has got an internal storage of 4GB of which over 2GB is user accessible. While the phone isn't a multimedia delight, the speaker grill placed on the back offers loud sound.

Although, I wonder how many will use this feature. It can be used for selfies though. The 5-MP rear camera does a decent job. To use the camera, I had to insert a memory card in the phone. The battery backup of the 1700-mAh battery was good.

Bag it or junk it: Prefer Micromax Canvas A1 or Spice Uno Dream over this one
