Meet the competition of Renault's most fuel-efficient petrol car Kwid

Renault Kwid: Renault on Thursday launched its much awaited hatchback Kwid in India at a starting price of Rs 2.56 lakh. Its top end variant is available at Rs 3.54 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). Here are the cars which will be in direct competition to Renault's Kwid.

Maruti Alto 800: Renault Kwid's direct challenger will be Maruti Suzuki's Alto, which is in the same price range. Renault Kwid is expected to challenge Maruti Alto's market share. Maruti Alto800 is priced between Rs 2.83 lakh and Rs 3.4 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Tata Nano: As per Automotive Research Association of India, Renault Kwid's mileage of 25.14 is less than Tata Nano's 25.35. It is considered as the most fuel efficient car. It is priced between     Rs 1.43-2.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hyundai Eon: Hyundai has Eon in the sub 1 litre engine space to compete with Renault's Kwid. Hyundai Eon is priced between Rs 3.09 lakh and Rs 4.22 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Datsun Go: Nissan's low-cost car Datsun Go was launched in India in four variants D, D1, A and T. However, it failed to take off in market as expected by Nissan. Datsun Go is priced between Rs 3.79-4.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
