Google launches Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P with Android Marshmallow

Tech giant Google finally launched its much speculated smartphones, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P on Tuesday night. (September 29, 2015) for its high-end customers. It is said that the company is planning to give a tough competition to Apple's latest iPhones with its new smartphones. Let's check out what Google has incorporated in its new devices to garner bigger market.

The latest phones will run on an updated version of Android operating system, named Marshmallow.
Although, the new version of Android will look similar, the company said it has made a number of tweaks to its mobile operating system in order to make using Android phones easier.

The Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch screen, slightly larger than the iPhone 6s Plus while the Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen.

The Nexus 5X is made by South Korea's LG Electronics. Google said that the 16 GB model will be priced at $379, while the Nexus 6P is made by China's Huawei Technologies and will come at a price of $499 (for 62 GB) model.

Google has also introduced a new fingerprint sensor, named Nexus Imprint, which is located on the back. These sensors will help quickly authorise purchases made through Android Pay, the one-touch payment app on Android devices.

The Nexus phones also feature better cameras than previous models, matching similar upgrades that Apple just made to its iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

The phones are already available for pre-order on the Google Store from a number of countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Japan. However, till now, the company has not announced its launch date in India.
