Honda targets one million customers in India

Newly-appointed President and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India Hironori Kanayama says he wants to increase the number of total customers from current five lakh to a million in the next five years

Honda Siel Cars India is aiming to double the number of customers in India to one million in the next five years, a senior company official said on Monday.

"India is one of the most dynamic markets and has huge potential for growth. I want to increase the number of total customers from current five lakh to a million in the next five years," newly-appointed President and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India Hironori Kanayama said.

He said car models like City and Brio would be the main growth drivers for the company's growth.

"We have got ambitious business plan for the Indian car business and we want to be the number one in the country," he said.

Honda cars have been consistently ranked number two after Maruti Suzuki India in customer satisfaction according a study conducted by JD Power and Associates.
