Hiring activity in the Hotel/Restaurant/Travel/Airlines has been impacted the most with a decline of 91 per cent in April 2020 over average of April 2019.
Other key industries that showed a decline in hiring activity in April' 2020 compared to the corresponding period last year were Auto/Ancillary (-82 per cent), Retail (-77 per cent), Accounting/Finance (-70 per cent), BFSI (-67 per cent), BPO/ITES/CRM/Transcription (-60 per cent) and IT-Hardware (-60 per cent).
The hiring activity in Pharma/Biotech/Clinical Research, IT-Software/Software Services and Insurance was less impacted as compared to other industries, during the same period.
Recruitment across cities saw a double digit dip during the month of April' 2020. Hiring activity in the capital city witnessed a sharp decline.
The hiring for entry-level executives and senior-level executives saw a dip of 67 per cent and 62 per cent respectively. The middle management roles declined by 55 per cent, senior management roles declined by 53 per cent and leadership roles by 50 per cent.
