
During his speech in Srinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided a detailed account of the transformative changes in Jammu & Kashmir over the past five years, particularly in the fields of education and youth empowerment. He expressed satisfaction in seeing 50,000 students who had been forced to leave school now returning to education. Modi emphasized the introduction of pre-primary classes in 15,000 schools, benefiting over 1.5 lakh children. He also highlighted the upgradation of 250 schools to PM SHRI Schools, as well as the establishment of new degree, engineering, and political science colleges, including one in Awantipora. In the medical field, 1,100 new seats have been added, along with 1,500 in nursing and 1,600 in paramedical programs, giving the youth of J&K greater opportunities to pursue higher education and professional careers. Modi stressed that the youth of Jammu & Kashmir are no longer helpless, but instead are growing stronger under his government’s leadership. He also mentioned that the BJP has made significant announcements aimed at providing transparent and fraud-free government job opportunities to capable individuals, underscoring the party’s focus on youth employment and empowerment in the region.
