
The Union Cabinet has approved seven pivotal agricultural projects, collectively valued at Rs 13,966 crore, aimed at revolutionizing India's agricultural sector. Announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, these projects focus on advancing agricultural research, promoting digital farming, and enhancing sustainable practices. Key initiatives include the Digital Agri Mission with a budget of Rs 2,817 crore, a Rs 3,979 crore plan for food and nutritional security, and a Rs 2,291 crore Agri Education and Management Plan. Additionally, the Cabinet has approved a Horticulture Plan worth Rs 860 crore, a Rs 1,202 crore initiative to strengthen Krishi Vigyan Kendra, a Rs 1,115 crore plan for Natural Resource Management, and a significant Rs 1,702 crore Livestock Health Management and Production Plan.
