Congress Slams BJP Over Kempegowda Statue

Bengaluru is all set to get a swanky new airport terminal. The iconic Terminal 2 at the Kempegowda international airport. But a legacy war has now erupted over the Kempegowda statue that is unveiled at the terminal by PM Narendra Modi. Built at a cost of Rs 5,000 crores... the new terminal has been designed as a tribute to the garden city of Bengaluru. With sprawling green walls, hanging gardens, and outdoor greens to enable fliers the experience of “walking in the garden”. With the inauguration of T2 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, the passenger handling capacity of KIA as well as counters for check-in and immigration will double. The airport has already set benchmarks when it comes to sustainability with 100% green renewable energy across the campus.
