With over 60% of shoppers willing to pay extra for same-day delivery, speed is becoming central to consumer loyalty. Chakraborthy also mentioned about Tier 2 and 3 cities now drive 40% of online retail spending, adopting rapid delivery faster than metros. Non-grocery categories from beauty to auto parts are fuelling demand. The spokesperson stressed that shared infrastructure and multi-speed strategies will be crucial for scale and profitability.
