The tragic flood at the basement of Rau's IAS coaching institute in Karol Bagh claimed the lives of three promising students: Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nevin Delvin. Shreya, a diligent student from Uttar Pradesh, had enrolled in the institute in April after completing her bachelor's degree in science, aspiring to become an IAS officer. Her dreams were shared by her family, who had high hopes for her future. Tanya Soni, lovingly called "Tannu," hailed from Bihar and had moved to Delhi from Hyderabad, where her father works as an engineer. A meritorious student, Tanya aimed to join the civil services and become an IAS or IPS officer. Nevin Delvin, a PhD scholar from JNU and native of Ernakulam, Kerala, also lost his life in the flood. The families and friends of these students are devastated, and their loss has sparked outrage and protests in Delhi, as they demand accountability for the negligence that led to this tragedy. The lives and aspirations of these young individuals have been tragically cut short, leaving a void that cannot be filled.
