The Congress party cited reports claiming the funds were actually for Bangladesh, while the BJP rejected these claims. BJP sources allege USAID funding to Indian NGOs increased significantly during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Congress has demanded a white paper from the Modi government on the utilisation of these funds. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar also commented on the issue.
