Speaking to students at IIM Lucknow, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani recalled the skepticism he faced when launching his first port project. “People thought I’d lost my mind,” he said, sharing how bankers laughed at the idea of financing land submerged underwater in Mudra, which had no access or industry back then. Adani highlighted that innovation often begins where maps end. “Maps take you to places others have been; to build something new, you need a compass that points to possibilities,” he said, urging students to dream beyond conventional limits and pursue uncharted paths with courage and conviction.
