German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann Commends RapidX Inauguration And Highlights Its Positive Impact

The German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, expressed his honor and privilege to be a part of the inauguration priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor and flagged off the RapidX train connecting Sahibabad to Duhai Depot.. He highlighted the significance of this project, noting that it's the fastest train in India, operating at a speed of 160 km/hr. This shuttle train, part of the NCRTC, connects Meerut to Delhi and is operated by the German rail company Deutsche Bahn. Ackermann also emphasized the project's importance in the context of climate change and environmental protection, as it promotes public transport, reducing traffic on the roads. He mentioned the Green & Sustainable Partnership for Development between Germany and India as a crucial step towards a more carbon-free future, considering this project a fantastic addition to the National Capital Region (NCR).
