“I Visualised It And Wanted This To Happen. I Was Living This Success, 5-6 Yrs Ago”: Yash

Counted as one of the biggest superstars in today's times, Yash is on a professional high. The second installment of his 2018 blockbuster, KGF, went on to become a cult hit and challenged Bollywood big time. On Day 2 of India Today Conclave Mumbai 2022, during the Cinema: Gold Standard segment titled The Roc-KING star on winning hearts, smashing records, and reigning supreme, Yash shared his take on the box office. He spoke to us about how he is dealing with the film's success. He said, "If it doesn't sound arrogant, I did want this to happen. I visualised it and I wanted this to happen. I was living this day, this success, 5-6 years ago. Right now, it doesn't affect me. I am now kind of thinking ahead now. The scale of the success surprised a lot of people. India is a country that has got a lot of potential. What we are celebrating now is only a fraction of what we can do. That's what we should look at. This helped us think that if we all came together, we could offer something big. This is 5-10 percent of the potential we have tapped into. We can expect a lot more from the next generation."
