Air Chief Marshal AP Singh emphasized the growing significance of air power amid rising global conflicts and contests, highlighting the need for India to bolster its defense against adversaries. He addressed the challenges posed by disrupted supply chains due to ongoing wars and underlined the Indian Air Force's (IAF) focus on operational readiness, continuously guarding the skies and preparing for war-like situations. The IAF is also prioritizing self-reliance with strategic projects such as Tejas, Tejas Mk2, AMCA, ASTRA, MRSAM, and AKASH. By 2047, the vision is for the entire IAF inventory to be developed and produced in India
