India & US To Sign Deal For GE 414 Fighter Jet Engine Production In India

GE-414 engines have been talked about for over a decade now for the light combat aircraft Mark-2. Will the fighter jet engines finally be manufactured in India for the Indian Air Force next generation and future fighter jets? Will there be transfer of technology and co-production of the jet engines that power the FA-18 super hornets, the Growlers and the Saab Grippens? India and the US have been in negotiations and the deal is likely to be inked during prime minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the United States.
