
The BJP and the local parties are in the driving seat across the north-eastern states of India in the Lok Sabha elections, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll results showed. The BJP is expected to grab 9-11 seats of the 14 in Assam with the rest going to the Congress. In Sikkim, exit poll results showed the Sikkim Democratic Front winning the lone seat. In Arunachal Pradesh, BJP is expected to emerge victorious in both the seats. In Meghalaya, exit poll results predicted the BJP-led NDA alliance emerging victorious in one of the two seats. In Manipur, both seats are seen going to the BJP while in Nagaland Congress is ahead. Congress is also ahead in the lone seat of Mizoram and one of the two seats of Manipur.
