Opposition Go All Out On Adani Indictment In America

Hours after US prosecutors charged Gautam Adani with bribery and fraud, Congress renewed its demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani Group's transactions. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh claimed the indictment by the US Securities and Exchange Commission validates his party's concerns over alleged irregularities in Adani’s business dealings. Since January 2023, the Congress and opposition parties have been pushing for a JPC investigation, accusing an "internal nexus" between the government and Adani.
