PM Modi Highlights Bihar’s Rising Prosperity | 1.5 Lakh Bikes Sold During GST Festival

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recent speech, stated that 'in Bihar, three times more motorcycles have been bought' this year compared to the last. He attributed this surge in sales to the benefits of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which his government has promoted as a "GST Bachat Utsav" or savings festival. According to the Prime Minister, approximately 1.5 lakh motorcycles were sold in Bihar during September-October of the current year, a significant increase from the 50,000 units sold in the same period previously. In his address, he also drew a sharp contrast between the current governance and what he referred to as 'jungle raj', a term used to describe a previous era of alleged lawlessness in the state.
