During his three-day visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a significant roundtable with the CEOs of leading American technology companies in New York. Key attendees included Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, as well as executives from other top firms. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between India and the U.S. in cutting-edge sectors like artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and semiconductors. Modi emphasized the critical role technology plays in shaping the 21st century, stating that nearly every aspect of life is now driven by it. He highlighted that the blend of technology and democratic values guarantees human welfare, creating an environment of trust. In contrast, he warned that technology without democracy can lead to crises. Modi proudly pointed out that India is uniquely positioned with its talent, democratic foundation, and vast market. Reflecting on his visit to Washington last year for the "Tech Handshake," he noted that India has maintained strong connections with global innovators. He expressed pride in the energy, enthusiasm, and trust that global experts are showing toward India’s technological landscape, ensuring that the country remains a key player in shaping future global policies and innovations.
