Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Challenges The ‘Gujarat Model’

“The ‘Gujarat model’ is like test cricket. Telangana model is like a T20 innings”, claims A Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana at the India Today Conclave. Challenging the efficacy of the ‘Gujarat model’ in a conversation with India Today Group’s Rajdeep Sardesai and Preeti Choudhry, he said even Ahmedabad could not compare with Hyderabad. According to him, the Telangana model of development has three main core areas - development, welfare and good governance. Reddy also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of a bias towards his home state Gujarat wondering why the special privileges granted to GIFT City could not be granted to other cities like Hyderabad.
