This Mass Wedding Function In UP's Balia District Going Viral On Internet, For All The Wrong Reasons

Mass wedding fraud exposed in Uttar Pradesh's Balia district. Spectator alleges he was offered ₹2,000-₹3,000 to pose as a groom. The mass wedding was organised under U.P. government’s community wedding scheme under which parents of the bride receive money. Ballia District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar said the allocated funds for beneficiaries have not been disbursed as intended. An immediate investigation has been launched and an FIR has been registered against nine individuals, including the Assistant Development Officer (ADO) of Social Welfare Department.
