The price of tomatoes in India has seen a significant surge recently, due to delayed monsoons, heavy rains, reduced supply and other factors. The price has skyrocketed up to Rs 150 per kilogram in several regions, including the capital city of Delhi. In some stores, the price has even reached an alarming Rs 200-Rs 250 per kilogram. Amidst the tomato crisis, the Open Network For Digital Commerce (ONDC) and Paytm have come up with some relief for buyers.
