
The Union Cabinet has approved the third revival package of around Rs 89,000 crore or 11 billion dollars for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. Earlier, the government 2019 gave BSNL Rs 69,000 crore, followed by another Rs 1.64 lakh crore in July 2022. With this, the total authorised capital of BSNL has been increased from Rs 1.50 lakh crore to Rs 2.10 lakh crore. The Centre hopes the company will turn profitable and offer 4G and 5G services.
