The economy of Uttar Pradesh has grown from 12 lakh crores to 27.5 lakh crores despite the global economic crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. The state government has focused on ten key sectors including infrastructure, industrial development, MSME, IT, electronics, civil aviation, agriculture, social security, urban development, and education. The government aims to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2029. The Mahakumbh event alone is expected to contribute over 3 lakh crores to the state's economy. Employment opportunities have increased across various sectors.
