A fresh political storm has erupted in Punjab after Gurugram Police registered an FIR alleging bribery to influence the forensic report in a sacrilege video case linked to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. According to the FIR, officials from Punjab allegedly met members of a Haryana forensic team and paid ₹10 lakh to sway the findings that were later used by the state government to defend the Chief Minister. The complaint was filed by a whistleblower who also claims he was threatened to produce a forged report. Opposition parties including BJP, Congress and Akali Dal have intensified calls for Mann’s resignation, while the Chief Minister has denied all allegations, calling them politically motivated.
