Home Minister Amit Shah has blown the poll bugle in West Bengal with a fierce attack on the Trinamool Congress government. Addressing public meetings, Shah alleged that Bengal under TMC has become synonymous with corruption, fear, and illegal infiltration, posing a serious threat to national security. He promised that if BJP comes to power, infiltrators will be identified and expelled, and the state’s lost glory restored. Shah claimed development has stalled due to rampant corruption under Mamata Banerjee’s rule. Hitting back, Mamata questioned Shah’s security claims, while TMC mocked his past poll predictions, citing BJP’s poor electoral performance in Bengal.
